Experience

Adam is a member of the electrical/computer practice group at Thomas | Horstemeyer. Adam graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, where he specialized in microprocessor architecture and VLSI design.

After graduating, Adam worked for six years as a software engineer at Progressive Gaming and International Game Technology (IGT), where he developed embedded devices using various languages, including C and C++. Adam led a team of engineers to implement object-oriented software in numerous products using microcontrollers and custom Linux and Windows based platforms. In 2012, Adam transferred to IGT’s Intellectual Property and Licensing department, where he focused on monetization of patents, trademarks, and copyrights by identifying licensing opportunities, developing claim charts, negotiating and drafting contracts, and managing audits for existing licensees.

While working, Adam attended the Lee Business School at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and obtained a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in both Finance and New Venture. Thereafter, Adam enrolled in law school at the William S. Boyd School of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013.

Adam serves as a board member for GeorgiaFIRST Robotics and volunteers as a mentor for the Walton Robotics FIRST team. Adam has also held several leadership positions within the ABA Intellectual Property Law (ABA-IPL) including a position on the Membership Board and as a Vice Chair of the ABA-IPL Law Student Action Group
