Military Programs

Veterans Education Training and Transition (VET²) is a fully-funded program that equips veterans for civilian careers through a combination of classroom learning and/or online instruction as well as internship opportunities with employer partners. This program is one of the first of its kind in the nation. Successful students will earn a professional certificate from a world-renowned academic institution and be better positioned to land a civilian job.

VET² 101 - Resume Building and Interview Skills for Service Members (Online)

Gain the skills you need to transition into the civilian workforce. You will learn how to create a strong resume and exactly what you need to do before, during, and after a job interview. *The Georgia Department of Economic Development covers the cost of this course for students transitioning from Ft. Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, and Ft. Benning.

 

Military Program Courses:

VET² - Plan of Action Development (3-Day Classroom Program)

Transitioning from military to civilian life can be daunting, which is why we established the nation’s first active duty internship to employment program. In this course, you will learn to maximize the results of your job search and develop a clear plan of action for integrating into a civilian organization. Students who complete this program will have the opportunity to participate in a three-week internship with a corporate sponsor (pending sponsor selection). View Course Details.

 

VET² - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (10-Day Classroom Program)

In this course, you will develop a deep understanding of Six Sigma and how to implement its Define/Measure/Analyze/Improve/Control (DMAIC) methodology. You will also complete a Lean Six Sigma project to earn your Black Belt certification. This program combines academic content from several courses, including: VET² Plan of Action Development; Principles of Data Analysis and Decision Making; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt; and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. VET² - Telecommunications Track (SCTE)

This program gives you the tools you need to enter the expanding cable industry, and was developed in cooperation with the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). To get started in the VET² Telecommunications Track, you will first complete an SCTE online certification program introducing you to the telecommunications industry. Students who successfully complete this certification program may participate in the VET² Plan of Action Development course with a three-week internship at a corporate sponsor site.
