VET² 101 - Resume Building and Interview Skills for Service Members

The VET2 101 - Resume Building and Interview Skills for Service Members course helps you develop the skills necessary to successfully transition from military service to the civilian workforce. The program is 100% online and may be completed at your own pace. It is the prerequisite for all other Military Program courses.

In this course, you will learn to:

  • Identify the most dominant and growth-oriented industries
  • Uncover veteran friendly employers by using job boards and social media
  • Create a resume that is customized to the available job
  • Translate your military experience and skillsets into terms easily understood in the civilian workplace
  • Introduce the best practices of the "millennium" job search

You will also work with career development expert who will coach you on what to do before, during, and after the interview.

**This course is the prerequisite for all Military Program courses and must be taken before any other course.

 

Who Should Attend

All active duty military, reserve, or National Guard personnel, veterans and military spouses who are transitioning to a civilian career are eligible.
