OMS Analytics Annual Conference Call for Proposals

OCT. 8-9, 2026

Call for Proposals Overview

It’s time to submit proposals for our 2nd annual OMS Analytics Conference!

If there’s a subject you’re passionate about, a unique approach you’ve been using, or research you’ve done that revealed compelling insights, other students and alumni will probably be interested in it too. It also could be a great topic to include in our 2026 conference!

Submission deadline: June 29, 2026

Who Can Submit a Proposal?

All current students and alumni of the OMS Analytics program are invited to submit proposals. It’s your opportunity to share your knowledge, research, and innovative ideas with our vibrant learning community.

What We're Looking For

We’d like the two-day event to include engaging and informative presentations, panel discussions, and other conference formats, on topics including:

  • Responsible AI
  • Data privacy
  • LLMs and NLPs
  • Data visualization
  • Industry-specific applications and case studies (e.g., healthcare, finance, manufacturing, education)
  • Design of experiments (DOE)
  • Do it yourself (DIY) data solutions
  • Careers in data science and analytics
If there’s another subject that you think would be great for the conference, please tell us.

Submission Guidelines

Submissions should clearly explain:

  • What OMS and MS Analytics students and alumni will learn if the committee accepts your proposal.
  • How the topic connects to this master’s program.
  • Your depth of knowledge with the subject matter.

Format: Your proposal should include a title, an abstract (150-200 words), and a brief bio of the presenter(s). All presenters must be members of Georgia Tech’s Analytics community.

Session type: Indicate whether your proposal is for a solo talk, panel discussion, hands-on workshop, or virtual poster.

Submission portal: Proposals must be submitted through the Conference Submission Portal.

Why Participate?

  • Showcase your work: Gain recognition for your project, research, or subject-matter expertise.
  • Network and collaborate: Connect with fellow data enthusiasts and industry experts.
  • Enhance your skills: Sharpen your presentation and communication skills in a supportive environment.

Whether you presented last year, or this could be your first time, we’d love to see the knowledge and perspectives you think we should include. Just remember to submit your ideas by June 29!
