Today’s hyper-competitive, fast-paced world requires organizations to become Agile. However, the agility of an organization is limited to the extent its leaders are committed to making the entire organization Agile. But commitment is not sufficient. Leaders also need knowledge and experience.
In this highly interactive workshop, you will learn from the experiences of your colleagues and the years of experience that your instructor will share with you. The goal of this workshop is to help you become an effective leader of a successful Agile organization.
An Agile leader has taken the journey from management 1.0 to management 2.0 . An Agile leader sees their personal role in a new light. In addition to personal growth, the effective Agile leader will need to help the organization aggressively redesign its policies, procedures, and structures.
Successful Agile organizations pay as much attention to fundamental management issues as do traditional organizations. Mature Agile organizations plan, track, perform risk analysis, budget, allocate resources, manage client relationships, prioritize, manage product portfolios, care about motivating and rewarding employees, etc., but the Agile approach to these issues is fundamentally different from the traditional approach.
Scrum teams are the building blocks of an Agile organization, but adopting Scrum at the team level is not sufficient to make an organization Agile. Scrum teams need leaders to understand how they are working, why they are working that way, and what support they need from the organization.
In this interactive seminar, we will discuss the issues an organization will face as they become Agile. You will work through a number of case studies. While each organization must customize its unique path to agility, the seminar will discuss solutions that other companies have found useful.
