Forty years of experience designing, managing, and providing advice about government acquisition. Awarded and administered federal contracts and grants throughout the southeastern United States, serving as the contracting representative to several major cities and county governments for programs such as Head Start, Job Corps, Community Action Agencies, and more. Develop classes for clients on all aspects of government contracting, including eProcurement, market research, bid opportunities, proposal preparation, contract accounting, RFID tagging, invoicing, GSA Schedule contracts, and more. Create and provide electronic tools which match government contracting opportunities with the individual interests and capabilities of businesses. Develop and maintain web-based tools providing access to government developments, how-to’s, video instruction, and other resources.
Professional Affiliations/Special Honors
As Vice President for Education, Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, responsible for designing two national professional education conferences annually; in 2007, was awarded designation as Certified Contract Assistance Specialist (CCAS), known as Level III certification. Developed and presented certification training for the National Institute on Inclusion. Act as an Instructor for The Contracting Education Academy at Georgia Tech, teaching CON 90, 120, and 260A/B. Former chair of the Procurement Committee, American Public Transit Association, and received Exceptional Service Citation from U.S. DOT in 1982. Developed professional certification program for the American Contract Compliance Association and served as a member of the American Arbitration Association.
