In K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) subjects, Georgia Tech Professional Education provides a number of programs to help prepare students for college as well as create awareness of potential careers and job opportunities, often in partnership with the Center for Education Integrating Science, Math and Computing (CEISMC).
From educational partnerships and research to fun programs for students, CEISMC and Professional Education advocate and participate in efforts for systematic changes that lead to improved appreciation and performance in STEM for K-12 students.
Georgia Tech offers Georgia high schoolers the opportunity to take advanced mathematics classes online while still in school. The highly competitive program allows advanced high school students to complete one or two Georgia Tech advanced mathematics and sciences courses online and earn academic credits while still in school.
In addition, we provide K-12 teacher training on new approaches to teaching and learning. The project-based inquiry learning (PBIL) online course is instructor facilitated and equips forward-thinking educators with knowledge and skills to transform their classroom practices and foster deep, enduring learning experiences.
