Rod Beard retired director of operations for the Georgia Air National Guard, has more than 40 years of experience in EW as B-52 and F-105G Electronic Warfare Officer and as an EW engineer at GTRI specializing in EW system flight test and evaluation. Much of his research has been related to testing of RWR software and hardware. He was Interim Director of the Military Sensors Information Analysis Center, one of the Defense Technical Information Center’s ten IACs. He assists NATO Sub-Group 2 (S/G-2) on airborne self-protection systems in conduction field trials. He coordinates with the Joint Coordinating Group on Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance on large scale exercises joint with S/G-2. He has a BS in Math from the University of Mississippi and an MSEE from Georgia Tech.
