Computational Data Analytics Track

The Computational Data Analytics track provides Online Master of Science in Analytics (OMS Analytics) learners with a deeper understanding of big data. This track is ideal for anyone who plans to focus on the computational side of analytics. 

The Computational Data Analytics track explores the computational approach to data acquisition, preprocessing, storage, management, analysis, and visualization. 

Beyond these requirements, the OMS Analytics program provides the freedom to customize one’s individual Computational Data Analytics track in order to better align with personal interests, career goals, and practical applications.

Track Requirements

 

Introductory Core Requirements 
(9 hours)

Students with sufficient background in any of these areas may apply to replace one or more of these courses with an elective.

  • CSE 6040 - Introduction to Computing for Data Analytics

Advanced Core Requirements

Students in the Computational Data Analytics track are required to select CS 7641 or CSE/ISYE 6740 - Machine Learning/Computational Data Analytics as either a Statistics Elective or a Track Elective.
