Data and Dialogue: Inside the First OMS Analytics Conference
In October, 1,000 Online Master of Science (OMS) in Analytics and Master of Science (MS) in Analytics students and alumni virtually attended the inaugural OMS Analytics Conference. Spanning two days, the event featured 30 sessions, 17 presentations, 38 panelists, multiple built-in opportunities for networking, and overall, 12 hours of data science and analytics knowledge sharing and engagement.

Throughout 2025, our faculty, instructors, and students not only investigated a wide range of ideas in the classroom, but also outside it during their free time. Many members of the community read books that lingered in their minds long after they finished the last page, and recommended various texts to the Professional Education community, including works involving public-health histories, speculative fiction, organizational safety frameworks, and the mathematics behind modern AI.
