Airborne AESA Radar

Course Description

Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs) are becoming commonplace in airborne radar systems and present a new set of opportunities and challenges to the system engineer. This course will provide an overview of airborne AESA radar systems focusing on AESA theory, technology and practical considerations. The course will also discuss airborne radar operations (AMTI, GMTI, STAP, SAR EA/EP) with an emphasis on modes and capabilities enhanced by AESAs. This course will also discuss emerging trends and recent technology developments that will impact future systems.
