Radar Warning Receivers Fundamentals

Course Description

Individuals with a background in electronics will gain an introduction to the basics in Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) technology. The course covers background in radar phenomenology, detectable radar waveforms from various radar systems and relates intended performance of those radars. The student will understand how to determine system performance. The standard types of RWR receivers and receiver combinations used in actual systems will be summarized. RWR antennas, Pilot Vehicle Interface will be discussed relative to trades required in RWR system design.
