OSHA Silica Standard: Gaining the Skills and Capabilities to Comply
Stay abreast OSHA’s new 2016 Silica Standard for general industry, construction, and maritime with this course. Obtain a comprehensive review of the new OSHA regulation, training on the health effects of silica exposure, and practical steps companies can take to protect workers from the hazards of silica exposure.
Job tasks addressed in this course include those who come in contact with elevated exposure to silica dust. Students will learn how to properly implement assessment methods for measuring worker exposure, and assists employers in understanding the medical surveillance requirements of the standards.
The facilitated and interactive training included in this course, allows participants to gain the knowledge they need to assure the effectiveness of their company’s silica compliance program, and to understand the requirements and responsibilities of a silica “competent person” on construction sites.
