OSHA 502: Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers

Course Description

Brush up on the latest OSHA standards and interpretations, Outreach Trainer Program Requirements, and safety and health topics in order to maintain your OSHA Authorized Outreach Construction trainer status. To remain authorized, this course must be taken every four years prior to trainer expiration. Learn from industry experts and network with your fellow Construction Industry trainers to discuss effective adult training techniques and 10- and 30-hour class management.

Important Information

Although enrollment in online OSHA numbered courses is restricted to students in OSHA's Region IV (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee), individuals who have an established relationship with Georgia Tech (have previously taken courses at Georgia Tech OTIEC), are not prohibited from registering for OSHA numbered online courses if they reside outside of OSHA's Region IV.

Materials

This course requires an application and approval prior to registration close date. 

  • A copy of your non-expired Outreach Trainer card. If Outreach Trainer card is unavailable, provide your transcript for the last OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 course attended. Please note - If expired, you will not be approved to take the class, and will be required to retake the OSHA 500 course. Additionally, if expired and the OSHA 510 was taken >7 years prior, the OSHA 510 will also be required.
  • Photo identification upon course check-in.
