Online Japanese - Intermediate Japanese I

Course Description

This course is the third semester of a four-semester online sequence in Japanese. The course will build upon four critical language skills (speaking, listening, writing, and reading) you have developed through Elementary Japanese II. The course will introduce more complex language structures such as embedded sentences and style differences (polite vs. plain), and you will become able to carry out conversations in talking about your health, weather and climate and travel plans. Students can choose their own time to study except for weekly virtual classroom sessions to practice speaking with an instructor and other students. Virtual classrooms are scheduled to be held at designated time. The mid-term and final exam must be administered by a prearranged exam proctor at the location of student's choice.
