Warehousing Safety

Course Description

This course is designed for warehouse workers and will highlight many of the hazards and injuries that workers are potentially exposed to in warehouse operations. Warehouse facilities have become increasingly more hazardous locations to work in. OSHA has identified Public Storage and Warehousing as one of seven industries with a high lost time claims rate. Injuries are likely to occur from forklifts; material handling and lifting; exposure to hazardous substances; poor housekeeping and slips, trips and falls. This course will discuss: powered industrial trucks, material handling/lifting, ergonomics, hazard communication; walking and working surfaces, exit routes, fire protection and site-specific regulations.
